VOTES FOR PUBLIC WORKS
CABINET AUTHORISATIONS. WELLINGTON, December 7. The Cabinet to-day authorised votes for a district high school a&d technical school at Hamilton and for technical school buildings at Cambridge. Other votes passed were : £325 for the Westport Technical School. £1500 for the- Manawatu River protection works, £350 for a hospital at Taumaranui, £385 for a school at Waaha* rara (Auckland), £5000 for the Welling-ton-Manawata. rail-way tablet working, £1200 for fixed magnate fox the same lime, £2000 4m the Wanganui District Hieh School, £285 for the Otaua School, anS £1500 towards the erection of a drill •bed at Dunedin, The sum of £60,000 was passed for railway construction works and £40,000 for Toad rotes.
