THE DUNEDIN PRESBYTERY AND THE REV. R. WOOD.

At the meeting of the- Dunedin Presbytery, held on the Ist inst, the clerk reported that he had received the judgment of the General Assembly on the complaint against the Presbytery by the Rev. R. Wood. The Assembly had unanimously .agreed to accept the report of the Special Committee ect up to consider the petition, and instructed the Drmedun Presbytery to inscribe on ka minutes the following resolution a3 the Assembly's finding in th© case: — "Having heard both parties th© committee is of opinion that Mr Wood has just cause to complain againet the action of the Dunedin Presbytery in discussing and passing a resolution traversing his communication to the Outlook in his absence and without his having received due notice of it ; and the committee would put it on record that it has received from the mover of the motion er.d the representatives of the Presbytery an assurance that tbsre was no intention ' of reflecting on Mr Wcod's honour." j We have been asked to say that at a meet- j ing of the Suatentation Fund Committee, held on the Ist October, it was agreed, on the motion of Dr Niabet, to express regret that the Presbytery should evidently, under a misapprehension, have passed a resolution reflecting on their agenit, and that this , minute be sent to th© Presbytery. I At a meeting of the Stwtentation Fond Committee held on November 13 the following minute was unanimously pas~ed dealing with the resignation by the R«v. R. Wood of the office of organising _ agent on the motion of the Rev. James Chi^holm : — "On the retirement of tihe Rev. Robert Wood from the agency of the Sustentation Fund, the committee d-eeires to express its appreciation of the service he ha"? rendered duTing h« term of office. He has been untiring in his advocacy of th© fund by tongue amd pen. He has instructed the people in the principles of the fund, and shown -how it may become a vahiabte aid in Church extension work and a bend of unnfy a.mong Presbyterians throughout the land. As a reeult of his labours the fun<], a-fler pTo\id.n«j for the agency exrensss, has this year yieWed a dividend of £206 17s, &n advance of nearly £10 over the yeaT 1905. [
