There was a good atendanee of the farming and cart- . ing fTa-t«rmty -.on the lookout for useful i horses ready to go straight to work. We J j had an eautry of 30 horses of ail classes, included in tho entry being a number of useful draught geldings suitable fc^ general' farm work. The pick of these wero keenly cempeted for, and changed | hands at satisfactory prices. We had also j one or two Clydesdale maires and filLiee forward. Tanners sold readily up to £30, and harness hovers at late quotiitions. Wo had consignments from the Peninsula, Mos- I giel, Wingatui. Quotations: Gcod usaful draught mares and geJdinsps (younjr and sound), from £35 to £45; lighter sorts and older, £23 to £33 ; heavy lorry pairs, from £80 to £100 ; useful plough maree and geldings, £30 to £40 : pedigree Clydesdale mares, to £150; good sorts of Clydeedale maree, tuitable for stud purposes and general farm work, £40 to £50 ; carriage pairs, £80 to £100; spring-ca-rtors (good sorts), from £20 to £32: upstanding buggy maree and geldings, from £15 to £22; haekneve, from £12 to £15; lighter sorts, from £7 to £12.
