THE SUMMER SHOW. The Otago Agricultural and. Pastoral Wietv's thirty-second annual summer show wiil be held at Tahuna Park on November £6 and 27. From the programme and schedule of prizes just issued it is .•to be noted that considerable addition? have been made to the prizes offered in several x>i tho sections-, while several new attractions are promised in the way of entertainment for ♦ the general public. Several special prizes offered this yeax will. x it is anticipated, have tho desired effect in the matter of en-trie?, both as to quantity a.nd quality, while it is worthy of mention that an effort is beingmade to have some noted Scotch blackfaced sheep, which will prcbably be shown in Christchurch this year, brought on to Dunedin. During tho past few months coniiderablo alteration* and improvements have been effected afc Tahuaa Park. The show ring has been enlarged and well laid out, »hile on the eouth-eaat side of the park,

near the stock pen?, the ground has been ( raised, «o as to arlow of those who are not disposed to enter the grand stand enclosure to have a good view of what is going on within the show ring. At the north end of the ground a considerable area has tfen • cleared of the hipins and levelled off, co as . to provide extra accommodation for exhi- , bitors of sheeo. The grand stand has been thoroughly painted and renovated. At the ' south ecd additonal ground has been reclaimed from the sandhill's, thus increasing the available area of the park. Everywhere the grass i s looking fresh and green, and by show week the park should be in first -class ordar. Judging by the reports whioh the aecretary (Mr Fulton) has received from different parts of Otago, the entries for the various _ classes should be both large and of excellent quality.
