LONDON. August 18.- - The Daily Mail's New York correspondent states that owing to the negroes' crime against a white woman lynching , orgies are imminent at Rome and Galves- * ton. He adds that a mob battered down the doors of the gaol at Huntingdon, Long Island, and was only prevented by the . timely arrival of cavalry from seizing and lynching a negro prisoner. The latter was removed safely. NEW YORK, August 18. The Governor of Illinois has indicted 2000 whites on a charge of rioting.
