A DOCTOR MURDERED.
TANGIER, August 13.
An English doctor who was travelling from Tangier to Fez, after witnessing a fight between the tribes of Benaouda and Ennique, acted against the advice of two of the Maghzen's soldiers and entered the territory of the Ermique tribe, who captured him and accused him of commanding some of the Benaoudans.
Criers immediately proclaimed a holy war, and the excited tribesmen tortured the doctor to death.
