NEW MUSIC.
Messrs Nicholson and Co., of Sydney, have sent on to us two waltzes and a" grand Galop de Concert, all the work of> a favourite Australian composer — Mrs' - Beresford Brodie. The Beresford and 1 ' Langley Waltzes are decidedly original.!. The time is well marked in both, and as . they go with a fine swinar and present n<y<serious difficulties, they should make their' way into public favour. The Beresford! Waltz, we .learn, has been played a*' ' Government House, Sydney, with muchf acceptance, and is frequently heard in the! Sydney theatres The galop "Danse deaSylpbe3 " is a dainty musical composition, very pretty, and requiring a light touch. It will be appreciated by teachers as some-* what off the beaten track.
