PRINCESS THEATER.

j The usual large audience greeted the ! change of programme presented by thej I "World's Picture Syndicate in the Princess Theatre on the 13th inst. This week's series of pictures, like its predecessors, i 6 a widely^ varied one, though the* majority of tha films are of a humorous nature. Of th*- re- ■ mainder the best is " Soenie Sicily," whioK shows a number of views in and aroundft Catania, Messina, and Palermo, illustrating^ the beauties of these districts and then, customs and festivals of the inhabitants'./ The second series of pictures taken at thaj Franco-British Exhibition has been lookecl-' forward to with considerable interest, and! was found to give an excellent idea of tho T crowd and buildings, while it contains several close views of the King and Queen) and President Fallieres. Another most interesting" film is one illustrating the varid.ua. stages in the process of making a dolij^ from the manufacture of the separate limbs : to the placing of the finished article mC the hands of its prouct little " mamma. 1 !. "The Woman Who Wasn't" causes a sjreafr, deal of fun at the expense of the militant* suffragettes about which we hear so muck, but his- fate when he is discovered to bet a mere man leaves grave doubts as to whether he had the best of the joke. ■ Thef " Mysterious Flames," a beautifully-coloured l , film, is striking evidence of the marvellous effects that stage craft and cinematographycombined can produce. The suggestion o£ the Satanic origin of Diabolo in the pictures "Sh titled " Diabolo Game" will probably . strike a responsive chord in the hearts of • many. "Nellie, the Beautiful House- • maid'" and'" Monty Buys a Motor Car" are obher films that must be commanded forr providing plenty of genuine fun. Altogether the present programme is fullyi equal to any that have gone before it, andf will certainly maintain the high reputationl that this popular entertainment has already, won.
