OGG'S WEATHER FORECAST.
We have received Ogg's Weather Fore- j cast from the publisher in . Brisbane, Queensland, covering the six months from July to December. The forecasts are pro- j hably as reliable as any issued. For July, ' for instance, from the Ist to the 7th, verystormy conditions were predicted for NewZealand, with rain, sleet, snow and hail squalls, and floods probable in some districts. Taieri residents know only too well that the flood came. Then boisterous was predicted for the end of the month. From the 16th to the 23rd of , August it is stated that frosts will be • prevalent in the Dominion, and from the 24th to the 31st severe weather is forecasted, with heavy snowstorms in the mountains and howling gales. A special warning is issued for October ; serious irregularities in the distribution of atmosphere are anticipated, and precautions are ur.ged to protect, where possible, from the blighting effects of frost. From the 16th to the 23rd October it is predicbed the conditions will be typical of the depth of . winter : cold "rain wjth a cutting gale throughout, and in elevated, districts terrific hail squalls and snowing heavily. High^ seas are forecasted. From the 24th to, the 31st continued cold *and blizzards are fore- ! casted for Ne^w. Zealand. %
