AUCKLAND GRAPES.
AUCKLAND, March 13. Ac «. result of the fine season there is an abundance of local grapes, and they are in large demand. The good prices ruling', despite Australian importations, have indfctced Ausckland growore to place vetf large quantities on the market, which otherwise would have been converted into wine. Some splendid camples have been sold retail at 6d per lb. A fine orop of Golden Chassolas from the Government farm at Waerenga sold at from 4id to s£d per lb at auction, while South Australian grape* brought only 5s to 7s per 301b case.
