The Otago Land Boaxd continued its •monthly meeting on the 11th, the members present being the Commissioner (Mr D. Baxon), Messrs W. Dallas, J. M. M'Kenzie, and G. Livingstone. The following applications to transfer were f ranted: —Miscellaneous lease, eeotion 188, lock I, town of Naseby, James Kirby to Ch«Tleis Edward Kirby; lease in perpetuity sections 22 and 23, block VIII, Maruwenua district, Tokarahi Settlement, John H. Campbell to William Laird; occupation lease, section 47a, block IX, Maruwenua district, John Yeoman to Benjamin Yeoman.-— Granted. Occupation lease 8, section 96, block IX, Maruwenua district, Jonas Oberg to John Yeoman. —Granted. The following application was declined:— I Small grazing run 284. run 171H, Henry S Orbell to Catherine Maude do Lautour. In connection with pas.toTal lease, section 78 block 11, Earnslaw district, James Dunery .to HenTy Scott.—As applicant w*s unable to make the required declaration the application, was deolined. Settlement, without competition. —As applicant already holds land and is otherwise ineligible, the application was declined. William Patton applied to be allowed to acquire -action 9a, Taumata Settlement, without competition. —Held over. Banger Mackenzie forwarded a report on the application by H. C. Woods for an occupation-with-right-of-purchase license over about eight acres of unsurveyed land between sections 1 and 10, block V, Cromwell district.—Board could not entertain application in form applied for. Application for occupation lease under the Mining Districts Land Occupation Act: — Allaa Lindsay, area on Galloway Flat. —To be advertised and referred to warden for report. Consideration of application by Adams Bros., on behalf of Ella Mary Campbell, for the issue of a certificate of title for sections 11 and block VIII, Tautuku district.— Until required improvements have been effected board cannot issue title. Ranger O'Neill reported on the following sections: —Section 2, block XI, Tautuku district, formerly held by W. B. Pope. —Section to be opened at capital value of 10s per acra. —Section 11, block XII, Tautuku district, formerly held by John Smillie.—Section to be opened at capital value of 12s 6d per acre; valuation for improvements, £170. — Section 12, block XII, Tautuku district, formerly held by John Smillie, jun. —Section to be opened at capital value of 13s 4d per acre. Section 17. block X, Tautuku district, formerly held by William Poff.—Section to be withheld from sale in meantime.——Section 29, block 11, Catlins district, formerly held by George Agnew. — Section to be opened at capital value of 10s per acre; valuation for improvements, £176 19s. The following applications for village homestead allotments were approved: —Soren Hanser, section 66, block XII, Lower Ha-wea district; S. C. Hansen, section 65, block XII, Lower Hawea district.
