WAIKAKA UNITED GOLD DREDGING COMPANY.

The annual meeting of the Waikaka United Gold Dredging Company was held yesterday afternoon, when shareholders representing about half the capital were present. Mr T. M'Gregor occupied the chair. The annual report and balance sheet contained the following clauses: — " Your directors have pleasure in presenting to you for your perusal the annual statement of accounts, duly audited, and from it you will see that operations have been carried on very successfully by both of the company's dredges, and the sum of £7560, or 13s 6d per share, Has been distributed, in dividends to shareholders during the year. Our No. 1 dredge during the year worked 50 weeks, and the average time worked was 123 hours per week, and won gold to the value of £5715 13s lOd. Our No. 2 dredge also made good time, and worked 50 weeks, the average time being 124 hours per week, and won gold to the value of £6335 14s 7d. The total dividends paid to date of the balance sheet amount to 47s 6d per share, or a total of £26,600, and since the books closed a further dividend of Is per share has been paid, making £27,160 returned to shareholders.
