DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE.
WELLINGTON. January 7. Mr David Evans, for the last nine months in charge of jfche stud aheep on Mr E. Short's stud farm at Cheltenham, has been appointed to take charge of the stud sheep at the Ruakura experimental farm. Mr T. F. Leihy, poultry grader in theAgricultural Department, has been transferred to Auckland in place- of Mr R. W. Pounsford, who goes to Christchurch. It is not yet known who •will succeed Mr Leihy at Wellington.
