A GREAT FIRE
•*> NEW YORK, January 12. A 13-storey sky-scraper, known as Parker's Buildings, fronting Fifth avenue and Nineteenth street, New York, was burned. During their 14 hours' work three firemen were tolled and 25 injured. The damage is estimated at £300,000. B/Otten hose pipes and inadequate water pressure handicapped the firemen.
