The Wellington provincial lawn tennis championship and handicap tournament opened to-day at Day's Bay. There are neary 400 entries, including players from i Westporl, Blenheim, Dunedin, Christchurch, 1 Masterton, and Feilding. Good progress was made with the , games in the Men's Handicap Doubles, Ladies' Handicap Singles, and' Ladies' Handicap Doubles, and with the chamoionshipa.
