Transfusion of Blood.
Laffnn's New York correspondent states that Mrs P. H. Welch,, taken to the Mercy Hospital, Chicago, on September S, was stated by the doctors to have only 10 hours to live unless a transfusion of blood could be effected. Her brother, Mr J. 8. Cooke, the millionaire head of the Cooke Brewing Company, had five pjnte pumped from his wrist to Mrs Welch's arm. She is now out of danger. He Buffered from fainrness for a few days.
