ALLEGED TRESPASS.
CHRISTCHURCH, November 27. Several further cases of trespass on the Riccarton Racecourse were before the court to-day. Counsel for the bookmakers argued that legislation subsequent to laying the information showed that the Government was opposed to the case* He suggested that the informations he dismissed, and laid again if the club thought fit. The bench ol justices ultimately decided to adjourn the cases until December 11, so that Mr Day, S.M., who heard the previous cases, should adjudicate these. Substantial costs were allowed to the bookmakers.
