EXTENSION OF A PATENT.
WELLINGTON, Novcmlwr 28. The first opposed application for an extension of a patent in tho Dominion was decided by the Chief Justice to-day. It referred to Wade's patent skylight. - The evidence showed that £9000 had been Already made out of the patent, of which tho patentee himself had made only £500, the balance- going to the licensees. His Honor reeommonded an extension for three years only, but imposed the condition that the licensees must pay Wade a royalty of 3d per foot on the output whLle the maximum price to be charged the public shall be 2s 6d per foot.
