November 30.-On the whole we cannot complain of the weather lately, although, owing to the cold winds, there is ™y Wtl« growth so far. However, although this di* trict is somewhat late, yet our feed last! longer, and in the autumn, when there v hardly a bite elsewhere, there is often plents ° P^storaL^-It his been a good lambdni season, and though some of the farmers maj not have done so well, still as a ruleno om has anything to complain about. There i< eood feed now on the high country, «na both sheep and cattle ought to do well from now onwards. Mining.— The Deep Stream Company a« hard at work in their claim, and; are raakmg a paddock on the Rocklanda side of th« river again. There is a good deal of activity on the Lammerlaw this spring, »nd a P** 1 * hae been out prospecting for Bcheehte for m Dunedin syndicate, Mid <has mot with encouraging results; hut more will be heard ot this later on. I believe there will be a Kg .thing in this scheelite yet, es it is known where there is more of it, and those who know of its whereabouts aro only awaitmf events. —
