THE NEW AGREEMENT DENOUNCED. NEW YORK, July 26. The Protective Tariff Association denounces the American-German Agreement as contrary to law and to the policy of Protection, and as unfair to the American importer, demoralising the Customs, b:side& being an infringement of the rights of the Legislature. The tariff agreement between the United States and Germany, which came into force on July 1, gives America reductions totalling £1,250,000 and Germany reductions amounting to only £40,000.
