LONDON'S TRAFFIC
QUESTION OF FARES. LONDON, July 24. The chief underground railways and motor and horse omnibus companies have resolved to form a London passenger traffic board to consider the question of remuerative fares. One hundred and ten motor omnibuses have been withdrawn from the service on the ground that a penny a mile fare is reoessaxy to ensure a profit. Eight hundred and fifty motor omnibuses are still Tunning in the London street area. The Street Noise Abatement Committee alleges that the motor omnibus and traction engine traffic has depreciated London house property by £6,000,000.
