Monday's market opened quietly, and although six sales were recorded over the two sittings, inquiry for mining scrip was not marked by any special briskness or spiritedness. Jnnction Electrics furnished a sale at 2s; Molvt'cux Kohinoors (paid) one at 14s 6d ; and Riley's Beaches four at 4s 6d. in Kohinoors the demand for paids was good, but buyers of the contributing issue were inclined to quote low. In Riley's Bearbes bhere have of late been a fair number of transactions recorded on 'Change, and the reason of this may perhaps bp found in an expectation in some quarters that the dredge will strike good gold at the mouth of the Lowburn -Creek, and a desire on the part of those who hold this idea to bay -wlisn the price is low.
