REPORTS FROM WORKING DREDGES.
The return from the Paterson's Freehold No. 1 dredge last week was 250z. The No. 2 machine obtained Boz for a run of 80 hours, having been stopped from Thursday night to have some repairs effected to the boxes. It was expected that dredging would be resumed about the middle of this week. The master of the Waikaia dredge, wires a -return cf 220z 12dwt for 126 hours' work on tho east corner, with tiie river iv -flood. The master of the Molyneux KohinooT dredge wires a return of 770z for the past •week's work ; troubled with drift. • The Pactolus No. 1 dredge will resume work on Wednesday next. The return from the No. 2 dredge last week was 690z 6d-wt for 131 hours. There was no wash-up on the Otago No. 1 dredge last week. The Teturn from the No. 2 machine was lOoz for 140 hours' work ; bail- , 111 2 drift all weelc ! The secretary of the Molyneux Hydraulic Company wires a return of Hoz lodwt ; expect an improvement shortly. 1 The return from the Sandy Point dredge last week was 360z lGdwt 6gr for 130 hours' work. The dredge was to be stopped to-day in order to have screen pates put in nosition. i The .. secretary ot the Loch Lomond Company wires a return of 240z for the past week's ■work.
