Eventually the police were summoned, restoring order and closing the doors in order to frustrate tiio attempt of the Opposition to leave the House in a body. The bill was adopted by a vote of 21+, the -Opposition declining to record its vote, as it considered the Government's action inconsistent with the principles of constitutional £O\ernment.
