Cr Kilpalrick brought up the question of rates. He thought the rates m all ridings south of Hawkesbury should be increased from |d to Id. In his own riding (Blueskin) it would mean JEI6O, roughly and this would be very desirable, seeing that they were £135 behind on the past year — Cr Charlton concurred in this view. — After further uiscussion. Cr Charlton gave- notice of motion to move at next meeting — " That the rates fcr Merton, Blueskin, and N.E. Valley Ridings be increased to Id in the £ for the current year."
