i The Inspector (Mr William Rendall) reported as follows: — Hawksbury Riding: To put Mill ! road in good order wou!d require 300 cubic yards rotten rock and 366 yards gravel (esti- , mated cos-t £71). The footbridge across the Xenthorn Creek has been completed, and the gravel contract on Clark's road is nearly finished. The timber in the bridge at the corner of plantation near Waikouaiti River is much decayed^ and a new structure is required (estimates cost £34).— Resolved on the motion of Cr9 M'Gill and Duke—" That tenders be called for Mill road, and also to put the bridge near corner of plantation near Waikouaiti in repair. ' Merton Riding : The beams and decking of the toll bridge, Main road, require replacing with new timber, and the approaches require 20 yards of gravel (estimated cost £33). Buttar's road had been satisfactorily completed.
