Notes from Clyde. (FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.)

CLYDE, August 25. The Monte Christo dredge lost four shifts luring the present week; therefore the next •eturn may not be quite up to expectations. The Unity dredge has not had quite a full week owing to slight mishaps to tha nachinery. The Halfway House dieclga is expected la

resume work early next week, the broken tumbler shaft having been repaired. The Loch Lomond dredge resumes work next week, necessary repairs having been executed to enable' -the dredge to proceed uninterruptedly with a season's work. The ground ahead is expected to be quite as rich as that worked upon during- the past two years.
