THE WEEK'S DREDGING RETURNS.

Tho Manuherikia dredgemaster wires having washed i".p for a return of 640z as the result of dredging for 145 hours, of -which 70 houra were occupied o-n bottom. On Monday the share mariiet was moderately quiet, a couple of sales being put through, and values generally showing scarcely any alteration as compared with last week. New Alpine Consols were, if anything, just s* shade easier, but Riley's- Beaches were slightly firmer. Investment stocks excited onlymoderate notice. Inquiry for Alexandra Leads on Monday a.l 6s 3d found response at 6s 9d, but a request for Dunstan Leads at Gs met with no result. Golden Huns firmed up a, little, buyers offering 36s 3d and sellers asking 373 3a^ Buyers- of Hessey's were just a. shade easier at 21s, but holders were unaltered at 22s 6d. Island - Blocks -were firmer, buyers quoting at 8s and sellers at 9s 3d. Manuherikias had notice on a rather wide market, and Mystery Plats" were again sought after in vain at 29s 6d. A transaction was put through in New Alpine Consol? at lls 9d, and further lots on offer at the.-sain« figure drew an inquiry at lls 6d. A buyer -wa3 prepared to give 4QS for -Pactol-uses, but ihel niarke't -was apparently devoid of a sellier. Eiley's Beaches -were a shade hairier, and a sale was effected in them at 7s 6d, with buyera at the close at the same figure, and sellers < at Ss. A request for Kising Suns at 24s dre 1 * a holder at 255. S*ndy Points were procurable at 255, Unitys at ss, and "Waimumus at 4s 6d, but none of them elicited buying notice.
