These prices were very good, the wools being of first-class charactei throughout, well-giown and very useful. Bradford topmakers competed keenly for these -wools, there being a good combing staple and average condition. These were in nice order, being rather lightef^daii they usually are. HT over Galatea: Greasy—l 3 halfbred 15d, 17 crossbred 12Sd, 56 do ll}d, 14 do lid, 4 haltbred pieces lOid, 16 first crossbred do lOd, 5 do B do 9d, 4 second do Bd, 7 first do lambs lid, 2 second do 93.d. These wools were in prime' order, the first few lots feeling the benefit of American competition. Very well grown, sound, shafty, and in Ugh* condition. This is a well-known clip oi very good, useful wool, and its character to-day fully maintains its good name. It was ■well scoured, and made.an excellent show.
