GORE STOCK SALE. (From Our Own Correspondent.)
GORE, August 29. There was a very large attendance at today's stock sale, when 4000 sheep arwl 200 head of oattle were offered. Bidding in most cases v;«s slow,- and sheep showed a decided Sail in price, except in one ox two cases of really good hoggets. Aged ?wes -were very3iard to. sell, and small .hoggets were not in demand. Fat wethers sold at up to 22s 4d, merino wethers, 19s 3d!; hoggets, from 14s 6d to 20s-3d; two-tooth ewes, at 275; four, six, *ncl eight-tooth ewes-, 21s 6d to 23a lid; eight-tooth ewes, 16s to 19s 6d; ag«d ewes. 10s 6d to 15s. Cattle: The entry for the- Gore yards was large, but bidding was slaw and sales very hard to make. JPat bullocks sold *t from £5 12a G& to £6 15s; fat cows, up to £5 10a; two-yeai--old steers and heifers, JE3 10s to £4 ss; yearlings, £1 los to £2 2s; calves-, Iss to 20s.
