(From Cub Own Cokkespondent.) WELLINGTON, July 2. The fourth annual colonial conference of ihe New Zealand Farmers' Union is to commence on the. 11th inst. in Wellington. There are 63 items for discussion, including <the following :— " That the GoTernment be urged to so amend the Land Act as to give Crown tenants the option of purchasing the freeiold of their land at the original value and the payment of the difference between the 4 per cent, now charged on the L.I.P. and the 5 per cent, charaed to tenants with the right of pur-
