A Great Diamond.
TO THE EDITOB. ISiH,—ln your paper of Saturday last, the 27th inst., you tell us of the smart way ia which the famous Cullian Premier diamond, found in the Premier min-e, near Pretoria. South Africa, was deporied from there to London by the postal authorities of London. This diamond was found in February this year. According to one authority it weighs 3024 carats, and to a second authority ife weighs 3032 carats, or 1.701b Troy weight, equivalent to lib 603 avoirdupois. It is perfectly transparent, and looks like a piece of pure ioe. Here is appended a list of the largest diamonds already got: - - Carat 3. 1.
