Messrs "Wright, Stephenson, and Co. reporfc the sale, at satisfactory prices, of the following portions of Castlerock Estate :—Allotments 47 and 48, containing about 550 acres; allotments 34 and 35, containing about 495 acres 3 roods; part allotment 11, containing about 106 acres ; allotment 12, containing 249 acres 3 roods 37 poles. There aare now only a veryfew sections remaining unsold on this wellknown estate, and as the proprietors ar€j willing to accept very reasonable prices for these, to close accounts, buyers of land would do well to inspect them. Messrs "Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report the sale at a satisfactory price, to Mr Joseph Brown, Mount Sorners, of sections 1, 2, 6, 8, and 9, block IV, section 6, block 111, and. section 9, block I, Black Swamp survey, containing in all 1362 acres 3 roods 17 poles, and being part of the New Zealand Agricultural Company's Waimea Estate. The company has now determined to sell out the balance of this estate as quickly as possible, and several further sales are pending. Messrs "Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report the sale, at a satisfactory price, to Mr Hugh Craig, of Lawrence, of the Island Block (Most, Flat) Estate. This is one of the finest blocks of mixed agricultural and gracing land to be found in the province. It consists of about 1103 acres, and comprises sections 6, 8, 11^ 14, 17, 19, 22, 24, 27. 29, 32, 34, 37, 39, and 42, block 11, Benger district. It is upon this block that the famous Island Block Company is dredging for gold This no doubt gives the land a special value, but, from the farmers* point of view, it is a matter for regret that the land should.be destroyed in this way. Messrs "Wright, Stephenson, and Co. and! the National Mortgage and Agency pompany of New Zealand, Limited (in conjunction), report" the sale of "the remaining allotments on Heddon Bush Estate, Nos. 16, 17, and 18, to an undisclosed purchaser. The total area _pf the sections referred, to is 1653 acres 3 roods' 2 poles, and the price realised is a satisfactory o<ne. The Otago Farmers' Co-operative Associar tion of New Zealand, acting under instructions from Messrs Downie Stewart and Payne (solicitors for Mrs M'Caughan, Green Island), offered at auction at their rooms, Crawford street, yesterday, three freehold farnis in the G-reen Island and Otokia districts. There was «, fairly good attendance, and bidding on the whole was good. The auction begun with lot 1, containing 36 acres 3 roods, on which property" the improvements consist of a sixroomed dwelling large byre, good stable, cart shed, etc., and good fencing. The bidding commenced at £15 per acre, and speedily ran. up to £25 ss, at which price it was knocked down to Mr "Wilkinson, solicitor, as agent. Lot 2, a small property of about 10 acres, under very brisk competition fell to the bid of Mr Adams. G-reen Island Bush, at £35 10s per acre. The 115-acre block near Brighton, was not so keenly competed for, and failed: to find a purchaser, and is now open for private sale. Messrs Guinness and LeCren (Ltd.) report the following : On. account of Mr P. L. Perry, 20SO acres agricultural and grazing land, situated near Waihao Forks, being the property known as Gl-enlcgan, to Mr E. C. Studholane at a satisfactory price.
