Sir Joseph Ward has authorised the adop* tion on the railways of the colony of $i system whereunder passengers by the through trains mar reserve then 4 seats. Discs will be attached to the seats, and tli€» guards of the trains will hay© charge ofi the keys to mark the seats " vacant " or» "engaged." Any passengev boarding as train just prior to starting will have tha privilege of oalling the guard or othejj official to reserve any seat nofc markedk '•engaged."
