A daring robbery was reported a few days ago by a resident of Cobden, whose house was broken into whilst the inmates were asleep, the sum of £3 in notes and silver being abstracted from a drawer in the room in which they were sleeping. Although the premises were safely fastened up for the night, ihe thief made an entrance by pushing out the key of the front door, which had been locked from the inside, evidently with a pair of small plyere, and inserting a skeleton key.
