THE TAHUNA PARK WINTER MEETING.

j The Tahuna Park Trotting Club has issued an attractive programme for its winter meeting, which is set down to take place on Wednesday and Saturday. May the 10th and 13th. There are seven races on each day's card, and the principal events are the President's Handicap (saddle), of 60sovs, two miles, for horses that can do 5.25 or under; and the Beach Handicap (harness), of 60sovs, two miles, for horses that can do 5.20 or under. These events form the best-endowed races on the first day, and on the second the Otago Handicap (saddle), of 6Cteov», two miles, 5.25 or under^, and the Winter Oats (harn«=s) of 60sovs, 5.20 or under, form the principal items 011 the card. In addition to the abovementioned races, there are four mile events of 45sovs stakes, two of which com© up for decision on the first and two on the second day. There are the St. Clair Handicap (saddle), for 2.50 or under- class; the Dash Handicap (harness), for 2.50 or under; the Birthday Handicap (saddle), 2.50 or better; and the Electric Handicap (harness), 2.45 or better. The minor events 011 the card are the Trial Handicap (saddle), of 30sovs. two miles, for horses that have not won in 5.25 or its equivalent; Marram Pony Handicap (saddle or harness), 0/ 25sovs, two miles; Ladies' Bracelet Handicap (saddle or harness^, of 25sovs (including: a 15sov bracelet) ; Advance Handicap (harness), of 30sovs, two miles, open to horses that have not won in 5.25 or its equivalent; Ranfurly Pony Handicap, of 25sovs, one mile and a-half; and the second Ladies' Bracelet, which is a similar race to that of the first day. Nominations for all events on the programme close oh the 19t"i inst., and all horses or ponies nominated will be handicapped to trot 3min or better, whilst all placed horses in any handicap after declaration of han- ■ dicaps are liable to be rehandicapped.
