OTAGO LAND BOARD.

The ordinary meeting of the Otago Land Board was held on the 28th ult. ; presentMessrs W. Dallas (in the chair), G. Livington, and J. Tough. Rarger Atkinson forwarded valuation of improvements on section 47, block VII, and section 5, block XI, Rock and Pillar district. — The valuation of £29 Is 6d was approved. The Waihemo County Council forwarded statement of proposed expenditure of "thirds " and " fourths " for period October 3 to December 31, 1904. — Approved. Ranger Mackerzie forwarded valuation of improvements on section 4, block IX, Ta-rras district' — It was agreed to reopen the section, with valuation for improvements reauced to £5 11s. Lucy Moore wrote asking that her occupation lease No. 20 over section 5, block IX, Beaumont district, and section 16, block XII, Tuapeka West district, be forfeited, and applying for a grazing license over the section. — The lease was declared forfeited for noncompliance with residence condition, and the ranger was instiucted to report re grazing license. R. Poison wrote with reference to the rental ha was" paying for sections 11 and 12, Block 111, Tarras district, held by him under occulease and lease in perpetuity respectively. — Referred to ranger for report. John Moodie and John Daly wrote objecting to the granting of an occupation lease to G. H. Paul over section 77, block VIII, Leaning Rock district, as access to their sections. 7 and 73, was blocked thereby. — The correspondence ■was .referred to tho chief surveyor. Edward Morgan wrote asking that runs 226 and 228f, St. Bathans district, be reopened separately and classed as small grazing runs. — Consideration deferred. « John M'Phee wrote asking that he be allowed to acquire section 86, block I, St. Bathans district. — Declined. Annie Fallowfield forwarded an application for a lease in perpetuity over section 58, block VI, Clarendon district. — Consideration was deferred. Harold JEJaton applied for a license to cut fencing timber from an area in the Waipori Bush near the Waipori Falls Company's license. — The application was referred to the ranger for report. Messrs Dalzieli and Haggitt (on behalf of Mrs Mary Munu) wrote with reference to the area m block IV, Tuapeka East district, over which Robert Ross had applied for an occupation lease. — Held over for report. James Cunningham applied for lease in perpetuity over section 52a, block IX, Leaning Rock district. — Approved.
