SALE OF VENLAW STATION.
Messrs S-tronach, Morris, and Co. report .having offered (in conjunction with the National Mortgage and Agency Company, Eimit«l} at Invercargill on the 4th inst.. Yenlaw Station, comprising 1570 acres freehold, 18,000 acres leasehold, 9000 sheep, caitle, horses. etc., as a. going concern. Bidding started at £5030, and. advanced in £100 bids to £5600, at •which figure it was passed in. The land and stock were, however, subsequently sold, in .separate lots to Mr Thomas C. Ellis, both at satisfactory figures, the total showing a substantial rise on the price bid at auction.
