March 13 — The meeting of the Peninsula Road Board was he!d on Saturday, and was attended by Messrs M'Curdy (chairman), Reekie, Robertson. Black, and Walker. — Letters were read from the board's solicitor and fiom the City Corporation's solicitors requesting the return of the deed it delegation and Order-in-Council. It was decided, on themotion of Mr Reekie, that the matter stand over till a full meeting. — Ivlr D Larnach. representing the Anderson's Bay Land Company, showed the board a plan of Tainui township, and requesting it to inspect the roads at present formed — Mr Harris wzote, on behalf of Mr Peteison, requesting the board to inspect the formation of road at Cas.tla Kill township, Anderson's Bay. The chair* man and Messrs Robertson and Eeekie wer<t authorised to inspect the said roads at aa early date. — Mr D Kyhon wrote asking ths board to have the water tables cleaned oa the road at Sandymount. It was resolved that the surfaceman attend to the work, and also that °ome repairs be effected at the slip, neai Mr Davis's property at Sandymount. — W.m. Weiper wrots asking the board to have the culvert repaired on the road below his properly. It was decided that the matter stand over at present. — Mr John Mathieson wrote asking the board to have some pipes put along the Main road, Anderson's Bay, to taka away flood water, the writer agreeing to pay half cost. It was decided to accept the offer, and to instruct the siufaeeman to attend to tie work. — A letter was received from the Town Clerk, Dunedin, stating that the Tramways Commit-tee could not accede to the request of the deputation appointed by the board. The clerk was instructed to refer the letter back to J .he Tramways Committee, for reconsideration. — It was decided that three culverts be put in the new formation of road at Castle Hill, one at ench end ar.d one in the centre of the road. — Permission was granted to Mr Eeekie to employ a horse and dray for one day to repair road at Anderson's Bay. — Mr Reekie moved, and Mr ll' Curdy seconded — " That three members be elected to represent Anderson's Bay. The motion was lost. — Accounts amounting to j£46 7s 7d were passed for payment — The meeting was then adjourned until 7.30 p.m. to consider ths advisableness of signing the Order-in-Cour.cil and deed of delegation.
