DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. Matters on 'Change were a good deal quieter on Saturday morning, and the " call-over was not productive of any business. Quotations, both in mining and investment stocks, were somewhat few, and the only stocks which displayed a firming tendency were Electrics and Junction Electrics, both of which companies are expected to shortly get on to good gold. The river showed no alteration on Saturday morning, being again 6ft Gin above the normal mark at Alexandra.

Alexandra Leads were again in request at j 4s 6d, and a holder disclosed himself at 5s 3d. • Bignell's No Towns were placed on offer at j 17s, but drew no inquiry. Electrics were a shade firmer, buyers offering 33s and holders asking for 355. A request was again made \ for Golden Runs at 20s, and a seller responded at 225, as against 24s the previous day ; while a parcel of Golden Treasures, placed on offer at 795, drew no buying in- ' quiry. Junction Electrics underwent another j finning, buyers' and sellers' prices both show- i ing a rise of 3d as compared with Friday's, ' the quotes being — Buyers ss, sellers 5s 9d. The largest turn-over on the Stock Exchange this year was effected on Monday, the total of toe day's business amounting to nine sales. The bulk of the dealing was done in cne stock, Sandy Pomt — the market for which appeared to be somewhat easier as compared with recent rartes. The only stock in which values showed anything like a pronounced tendency to harden was Junction Electric, and from the way values have been finning of late it would appear that investors are expecting one of the company's dredges will strike something rich, ■Winch is not unlikely. Holders of Rise and Shines underwent a further easing- yesterday, but there was still no demand for these shares. The river height on Monday morning was Cft above the normal mark at Alexandra, which indicates a fall of 6m since Saturday. During the pa&t week the river has, with Che exception of a rise of lin on Friday, remained abo\it stationary. There are a few more dredges contributiug to last week's yield than was the case during the previous one, wbi'e the total also shows an improvement. Tho Mastevton heads thf> list with 104cz, while the Golden Treastire is next with 62Joz, the New Perseverance No. 1 and Lady Annie following in that oider.
