WAIKAKA UNITED GOLD DREDGING COMPANY.

Tie- annual general meeting of shareholders Sn the Waikaka United Gold Dredging Company was 'held in the secretary's office last week. Mr Join MacGregor (chairman of directors) presided. The annual report, which was taken as read, Is as follows: — " Your diiectors have pleasure in submitting to you the annual report, from which it will fee seen that gold to the value of £8251 Ss 5d lias been won as follows: — No. 1 dredge, 11790z Idwt. at "775, £4539 6s 8d ; No. 2 dredge, 9640z 3dwt. at ?7s, £3711 18s 9d;— total, £8251 5s od. j[!he dividends paid for lie year amounted to or a total of 5s fid per share, -in four dividends of Is and one of Is 6d. ' Up to 31st January, 1905, the sum of 9s 6d per share Las been returned to shareholders. During the year a further portion of land of 66 acres adjoining the claim was acquired from John 13yars, on which a sum of £701 5s is still due, payable £300 in June, 1905, and balance in June 1906. .This land acquired was carefully prospected before purchasing, and its acquisition considerably enhances the value of the property of the company The prospects of ihe company for th© incoming year look bright, and your directors anticipate another successful year."

The retiring directors — Messrs John TnrnIrull and R. Paterson — were re-elected, as was «ilso the auditor, Mr G. Blyth.
