PROPOSED D.L.F. PICNIC.
The D.L.F. Picnic Committee has arranged to hold a picnic at Lake Waihola on March 23 (Anniversary Day). As it is a public holiday, we expect a happy reunion of dear old comrades, and sincerely trust that we may not be disappointed. As the picnic site is central we trust our country comrades will be enabled to join us, and we look forward to their hearty co-operation and support to ensure the success of our picnic. "Now, dear comrades, you will be true to your colours, and earn the grateful thanks of the Picnic Coinmitoee. 'Further particulars will be supplied later on.— Yours truly,
THE DUKE'S AMUSER. [I hope The Duke's Amuser's anticipations will be realised, and I trust the country LJF. within a reasonable distance will endeavour to toe present. There is no reason* why, if the weather should prove favourable, this should not be one of the most successful picnics yefc held. I would remind our enthusiastic secretary that there will be only one number of the Witness prior to the picnic in which particulars will reach some readers in x time, so it would be advisable to make any necessary notifications next week. — DOT.]
