Uest near to my heart, sweet token! Thy message, "I cling to theo" ; The love that I cherish has spoken, And whispered its glory to me. liOTe has come, and my heart she has captured, For it throb 3 with a gladness divine; And 'my soul with sweet bliss is enraptured, To know that thy dear love is mine. Oh, pure and intense is the love ._ ~ Which my heart gives to thee in return, As the years that are waiting shail' prove — Through Life's pleasures, or sordws stern. cling to thee, I will cherish ' Thy loving heart, ever the same, And pray that thy love will not perish — That nothing will quench its ptire flame!
