Mr Kinlock Cooke contributes an article to the -Empire Review, in which he reports cases where testators are excluding Australia from th.i field of investments for their estates in consequence of its Socialistic legislation.
MELBOURNE, March 3.
Mr Lionel Robinson, a London «6harebroker, who^is visiting Australia, says that from the general improvement of Australian stocks it appeared as if the Governments would be able to convert a'l their loans as they fell due at 4 per cent. It would no doubt be a great advantage if all the loans were consolidated and a sinking fund provided. Considering the legislation passed) by tfc.e> Commonwealth, the Federal security would not be much superior to that of the States. There was a feeling that although the southern States should b.e kept for the white race, black labour was necessary for the development of the tropical regions.
