ROME, March 1.
The railway employees in 'Italy, being legally forbidden to strike, are now attaining their ends by observing lha minutiie of the regulations. The red tape in vogue enables them to use exe°*sive precautions and thus obstruct the traffic, seven hours being taken for the journey from Rome to Frascati, a distance of 13 miles.
March 3.
During the recent strike in Italy the trains were stopped by the men ostensibly to remove the dust and rust and to examine the locks, senls, luggage, and for other trivial causes.
HOBART, March 2.
The Hercules Mining Company, Zeehan, imported 50 non-unionists from Victoria to replace the strikers. Within an hour the new arrivals were converted, and intend to return to Victoria.
