A Christchurch telegram states that play in senior cricket matches on Saturday was postponed for half an hour owing to a^smart shower, but afterwards the afternoon became perfect. Midland B met United and made 107 (O'Brien 26). United lost one wicket for 138 (Sims 69 not out, Ollivier 55 not out). Lancaster Park B ran up 183 against Midland (A. Maroney 42, Redpath32). Midland ,lost four wickets for 88 (Ellis 32, Whitta27). Lancaster Park A batted firet against Sydenham, scoring 130 (Orchard 42, C. Ridley 30). Sydenham lost nine wickets for 89 runs (Patrick 27).

A Wellington telegram states that in the Senior cricket match Midland and Newtown the Midland in their first innings scored 228. Newtown in their first innings made 90 and in their second inning's 74. 'lhe Gas Company in their first innings against the Austral Gas Company made 182. The Austral in their first innings scored 108. The Gas Company made 269 for five wickets.

The St. George Club met and defeated the King Street Club on the Asylum Ground by 16 runs, the former making 63 and the latter 47. For the winners, Doyle (30 not out), Gray (16), and Daubney (11) batted well, and Smith, who secured 10 wickets for 16 runs, bowled well. Kellen (11) was the only batsman on the losers' side to reach double figures, and he was also the -most succesful bowler.

A Wellington telegram states that in the inter-college match Wellington v. Nelson, the Wellington boys, in their first innings, made 278. Po~be (105 not out), Hay (41), and Otterson (38) were the highest soorer-s. The Nelson team made 74 in their first innings, Dayey (39). Jennings (6), M'Lean ?\ " and Richmond (1) l>eing the only scorers, the extras amounting to 26. Following ort^the Nelson boys made 14 without the loss of a wicket. Stumps were then drawn for the day.
