Messrs Tlios. Paterson and Co., auctioneers, fruit and produce agents, report for the week ending June 21: Fruit. — Large supplies of Island and Sydney fiuits came forward during the week, and met •a poor market. Apples: Cooking, 4s to 6s per case ; dessert, 4s to 8s ; Taamanian, Ss to lls. Pears— Canterbury, medium quality, 4s to 5s fid ; choice, 7s to 10s. Tomatoes : Nearly finished; hothouse, 6d to 9d. Grapes: Local hothouse, lOd to 2s. Oranges : Tongan realised 3s to 6s per case, as landed; Syetaey, 4s to 5s mandarins, 5s to 7a. Lemons: Messina halves, 7s 6d ; Sydney, 2s to 4s. Bananas: Eipe repacks, 2^d. Potatoes: Derwents, £1 15s to £2. Cabbages, Is 6d •to 3s per sack; cauliflowers, 3s 6d to 7s per «aok. Onions: Melbourne, £4 5s to ££ 10a. Butter: Fresh dairy, Bel (good demand); salt, Bd, separator, 9d to 9id. Cheese: Farmers', 4£d; factory, 4£cl to 5&. Bacon, rolls, 7d to 8d; ham, 7£d to BJd; pigs, 4Jd to 4gd for good baconers. Poultry: Fair supplyroosters, 3s to 3s 9d; hens, 2s 3d to 2s 9d; ducks, 3s 6cl to 4s 6d. We receive consignments any day, and sell daily.
