June 18. — About 200 persons assembled at Cassel's Hall last Wednesday night at a eocial given to Mr H. Nicholas, "My old home," Mr G. E. Ohalton : "The cuckoo "Mr F. R^icho 1 . Meodame<s Bel], Captain Griffith, and Mr N. 11. M'Lean acted <)s accompanists. At the conclusion of the programme edibles w^re passed round, aiid after ail had had a bountiful supp'y all present joined m singing " For he's a jolly good fellow. The floor was then cleared and danciug was commenced, music being supplied by Mesdamr s Bell and Griffith, and kspt up till the small hours of morning. Mr J. Sheilds acted as MC.
