The concert was a dis1 tinct success throughout. The band played ! four selections, which were very well received. Cornet, euphonium, and soprano cornet solos j were given by individual niernbors, who | acquitted themselves remarkably well ifor young players. The following ladies and gentlemen contributed items, which were thoroughly j appreciated : — Misses Farquharson, Johnston, and Keith, and Messrs Crean, De Maus, and M'Auley. The Chairman was able to announce at the close of the proceedings that the band was now clear of debt, a result very gratifying to the district and the members of the band.
