SOUTH MARLBOROUGH
ifcahautara, April 28 Our weather continues broken and wintry. Heavy, black clouds have rolled up from the sou-west and clung sullenly to the great bare mountains. Sudden heavy showers have swjept the tussocky hills and the flats, and driven, smoke-like, across the sullen bush. To-night the black clouds are away, and the shreds of mist that cling to the snowy mountains are tenderly silvered by the moon. The air is chilly, and the night will be frosty.
